Manage your choices
We use Google’s Privacy & Messaging consent platform for advertising and analytics choices. Where a consent message applies, you can accept, refuse or customise the available purposes and partners. Use Privacy choices here or in the footer to revisit the European consent message. Where applicable, Google also provides a US state privacy opt-out link. Refusing optional purposes does not prevent you from reading our articles.
Necessary storage
WordPress, WooCommerce and the consent platform may store information needed for login, security, your shopping cart and your privacy choices. Examples include WordPress login cookies, WooCommerce cart/session cookies and consent records such as FCCDCF, FCNEC and wp_consent_*. Some last for a browsing session; others retain a login or consent choice between visits. Blocking necessary storage in your browser may prevent login, checkout or saved preferences from working.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. With analytics storage enabled, Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google Consent Mode communicates your choices to Google tags. When storage is refused, Consent Mode can still send limited, cookieless measurement signals; refusal is not a guarantee that no request reaches Google. Advertising
Google AdSense serves advertising on our editorial pages. Depending on your location and choices, ads may be personalised, non-personalised or limited. Google and the partners disclosed in the consent message may use cookies or other identifiers for purposes including ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Examples of advertising cookies include __gads, __gpi and _gcl_*; not every visitor receives every cookie. The consent message lists the applicable partners and purposes. Shop and external services
Our shop uses WooCommerce and payment services provided through WooPayments/Stripe. Payment and security features may contact those providers when you use the shop or checkout. Google for WooCommerce also uses consent-aware Google tags for advertising measurement.
A Spotify player is loaded only when you press its load button. Loading it connects your browser to Spotify, which may receive information about your visit and use its own cookies. Ordinary links to social networks, shops and other websites take you to services governed by their own policies.
WordPress consent-category cookies (wp_consent_*) are configured to expire after 30 days. Updating the stored category state renews that period. These cookies distribute your current consent choice to compatible WordPress plugins; they are separate from Google’s consent record.
Browser controls and retention
You can inspect, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Cookie names and expiry periods can change as providers update their services; your browser’s storage panel shows the cookies currently stored and their expiry. Deleting consent records may cause the consent message to appear again. Withdrawing a choice affects subsequent processing; it does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal. Display preference
When you choose light or dark mode, we save that choice in your browser under pudgy-color-mode. This local preference is used to display the site in your chosen mode and is not sent to an advertising service by the theme. It has no application-defined expiry and remains until you change it or clear your browser storage.
